GALLERY RENTAL

RENTAL RATES

 $1200/per week, up to 4 weeks. This includes an Administrator during regular gallery hours (Wed-Fri,12-5pm)

Submissions Due: April 24th, 5PM

Group/individual applications must be sent as a single PDF  to Submissions@redheadgallery.org with the following:

  • Exhibition Statement & Bio(s), indicate the media, technique, theme/context of your practice

  • Current Curriculum Vitae (max. 3 pages)

  • Maximum of 5 digital images with details (group show images must represent all exhibiting artists) or 2 video links

  • Exhibition length (1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks)

The Red Head Gallery is one of Canada’s most respected collectives, showcasing a broad range of contemporary visual art by emerging and mid-career artists. Founded in 1990, the gallery is located in the heart of Toronto at 401 Richmond Street West, an art hub with a vibrant community of creatives and curators. Rental packages include:

  • 675 square feet of exhibition space

  • 13 foot ceiling, over 80 linear feet of display wall

  • Illumination by adjustable LED track lighting

  • Storage space & use of the gallery land-line (local calls only)

  • Zero gallery commissions on works sold

Marketing for your exhibition:

  • A page on our website and space in our digital and non-digital archives

  • Social media posts to our followers (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

  • One eNewsletter sent to our subscriber list of over 1,500+

  • Assistance coordinating additional press, liquor license, signage and concerns

ARTIST MEMBERSHIP

The Red Head Gallery is one of Canada’s most respected collectives, showcasing a broad range of contemporary visual art by emerging and mid-career artists Founded in 1990, the gallery is located in the heart of Toronto at 401 Richmond Street West, a cultural hub with a vibrant community of creators and gallerists. Membership gives individuals the opportunity to exhibit their work at the Red Head Gallery and engage with a vibrant creator community. We only accept 17 members at any given time.

Members pay $175 per month. With this, Members are given a 4-week exhibition approximately every 21 months. Members are expected to participate in committees, special initiatives, and the physical upkeep of the gallery, along with a “work-from-home” effort to help administer and activate our programs and expand our social media presence.

Note: Please do not send original artwork. All submissions are reviewed by current members.
Applications must be sent as a single PDF to Submissions@redheadgallery.org with the following:

  • A Cover Letter outlining your interest in the collective

  • Artist Statement. (Indicate the media, technique, theme or context of your practice)

  • Current Curriculum Vitae (max. 3 pages)

  • A link to your website (if you do not have a website, please link one social media channel to which you have your work)

  • A maximum of 20 digital images of your work (including details)

  • Links must be provided for Video/Performance-based works

    • i.e. youtube, Vimeo, etc.

  • A corresponding list of images (or contact sheet), indicating title, year of execution, medium, and dimensions (h x w x d or running time)

  • (Optional) Relevant Support Material such as articles, reviews, catalogues, etc.
