Call For Submissions: BRIGHT LIGHTS AT NIGHT
September 28 - October 2, 2016
The Red Head Gallery is accepting submissions for Bright Lights at Night, our yearly salon show specially created for Toronto’s Nuit Blanche. The exhibition begins September 28th at noon, and culminates with Nuit Blanche on October 1st, ending early in the morning of October 2nd.
As part of the 401 Richmond St. West complex, thousands of visitors come through the Red Head Gallery each Nuit Blanche. We encourage new artists to be part of this exciting event. This year, in keeping with the original salon style, we are offering the opportunity to submit one work whose total size does not exceed 36” x 48”.
Artworks must reflect the theme of Bright Lights at Night, as interpreted by the artist and must meet the aesthetic standards of the gallery. There are limitations on size and media (see Participating Artist Agreement).
EXTENDED DEADLINE: Wednesday, September 21, 2016
Submissions will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. If accepted, work must be dropped off at the gallery no later than Saturday, September 24th between 12 noon and 5 pm, but can be delivered during gallery hours -12 noon ’til 5 pm, between Wednesday, September 21st to Friday, September 23rd. Artwork must be picked up no later than 12 noon on Sunday, October 2nd.
ENTRY FEE: $40. (Payable through the Red Head Gallery Paypal account). When you submit via Paypal, the artist name must be noted on the payment.
