Red Head Gallery and produzentengalerie plan.d. have collaborated on an exchange of exhibitions across the Atlantic Ocean. Both are artist-run co-operatives with similar mandates for creating, exhibiting and advancing visual art. Plan.d. is a co-operative active in Düsseldorf, Germany. Plan.d. artists exhibited  at  Red Head in July.  Red Head artists are currently exhibiting in Düsseldorf October 21 to November 12.

The curatorial focus for each exhibition is “node” - a concept appropriate to the creative process of the individual artists involved, but also the collaborative engagement of each co-operative. The term node has many interpretations ranging from math to botany to computer engineering to social media to medical applications. At its essence are the concepts of intersection, confluence and divergence.  All of which are eminently applicable in this cultural exchange.
