THE OTHER SIDE
A Solo Exhibition by Guest Artists Ravjot Singh
August 24-29, 2026
Closing Reception: Saturday, August 29, 5-8 pm
Contemporary artist Ravjot Singh presents The Other Side, a contemplative body of work that explores the relationship between the self and the Infinite beyond ordinary perception. Rooted in sound, poetry, and spiritual inquiry, the exhibition seeks to give visual form to experiences that transcend the limits of language, inviting viewers to reflect upon both the seen and the unseen.
Painting becomes a quiet act of contemplation in Singh's practice. Drawing from lived experience and Sikh philosophy, each work emerges from moments of stillness, observation, and encounters with the Divine in everyday life. Rather than offering definitive answers, these paintings create space for reflection and personal discovery.
Executed in watercolour, graphite, gouache, natural pigments, and gold, the works embody a visual language that is both intimate and expansive. Gold appears not only as a material but as a subtle reminder of the Divine presence that permeates all existence. Accompanying the paintings are written reflections that extend the dialogue between image and word, forming a visual memoir of an ongoing spiritual journey.
The Other Side is not a destination but a way of seeing. It invites viewers to pause, to listen deeply, and to recognize the extraordinary within the ordinary. Each painting is an offering shaped through lived experience and guided by a continual search for a deeper understanding of the Eternal.
This body of work is surrendered to the will of Nanak. The exhibition and the works within it are guided by His grace alone. They are offered with humility as personal reflections on the quiet presence of the Divine that reveals itself in the smallest moments of everyday life.
