The redhead is initiating its biannual call for submissions for new members.

Founded in 1991, redhead is one of Canada's most respected co-operatives, showcasing a broad range of contemporary visual art by emerging and mid-career artists.

Membership with redhead gives individuals the opportunity to participate in a vibrant community of artists, developing the vision of an independent space for art and the freedom to exhibit work with complete creative control. Redhead's excellent location at 401 Richmond, combined with the professional support the gallery provides to members, ensures that exhibits get noticed. Alongside monograph exhibitions by our members, redhead programming has included national and international exchange exhibition projects and summer exhibitions presenting work by artists beyond the membership.

If you are interested in applying for membership with this unique collective please send us a package that includes: a letter of interest, CV, artist statement, visual documentation of your practice (no originals please), and a self-addressed stamped envelope.
