Elaine has started an ongoing residency at Pelling Lab at the University of Ottawa.
She is interested in applying what she learns there towards her next
exhibit at Red Head in 2018. Andrew Pelling is currently a TED Fellow and making a splash
with his innovative processes and cutting-edge techniques to culture cells and tissue. She will
be learning how to do this.
Elaine's group exhibition (Animal, Vegetable)...Mineral was listed as part of the most interesting science art exhibits on display by Scientific American. The exhibition runs till May 29 at Central Booking, Haber Space.
Elaine Whittaker's mask installation, Miasma, and three photographic artworks, Screened For Plague, Screened for Influenza and Screened for Rotavirus are in the exhibit Praising Science by Prizing Art. They were shown at the China Financial Information Center Gallery and are now showing at Fudan University Gallery, Shanghai, China until March 31st.
Mathew Borrett is part of group exhibition 'City of Dreams', curated by Kelly McCray. This exhibition also includes Red Head Gallery former members Colin Carney, Kate Wilson and Jeannie Thib. Opening Reception: Thursday 17 March, 5 -7:30pm
